I started my journey in SR from 2018 when I was in grade 6. I receive love, care and support here and learn good manners, ethics, morals and respect which I lacked before. I was raised by my mother alone and I still don't know where my father is. My relationship with my mother was strained and it was SR that helped me to deal with it and helped me understand the value of a family. I was also going through a racial discrimination due to my dark complexion which has really affected my self-esteem and my emotion.  SR stood by me and helped me overcome my low self-esteem. I am now quite confident and preparing for my grade 10 pre-board exam.
